The Russian hat I got was very warm in -18 in Finland.

Good Warm Hat
Very good quality. Extremely comfortable. I imagine it Will afford excellent protection from the cold once winter kicks in.

It is very warm
Lovely full hat, warm as toast and it's washable if needed. It's bushy and huge like a ushanka, lightweight but not cheap. The only downside are the elastic loops to fasten the peak and ear pad access flaps to the buttons. Apart from that it's a wonderful piece of clothing and I'm glad I found it. Great price too, it fastens around the front/back or under the chin with a sing snap buckle unlike other hats of this type. Well designed overall. I might buy another come the end of the year if there's any left
